This position will focus on new business development for a catalog of Direct Response brands we own and operate.

Job Overview:

  • Research, identify and evaluate new publishers (direct websites and networks) to buy advertising space from on a CPM, CPC or CPA pricing model. Potential partners can range from smaller publishers with a niche, highly relevant theme, to larger networks of publishers with the right pricing and inventory formats.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms for advertising purchases as well as handling the onboarding process for new buys including developing creative, placing pixels and ensuring ad tags/creative assets deliver correctly.
  • Analyze your media buys and associated metrics on a daily basis to ensure profitability based on an extremely transparent Last Click Attribution model.
  • Proactively and continuously optimizing your media buys by adjusting creative design and copy, as well as all other levers at your disposal such as: rates, placements, day-parting, geo-targeting, etc. to ensure that CPA goals are met.
  • Maintain friendly, positive and productive relationships with the publishers you work with.

Requirements:

  • 2+ Years’ experience (minimum) with Digital Media Buying and Ad Sales. (Experience with Direct Response with a Last Click Attribution model a plus)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Economics, Business Management or any other business related field OR adequate Media Buying experience in place of a formal education.
  • A well rounded knowledge of online advertising including traditional display, contextual/native placements, paid social platforms and SEM.
  • Knowledge of basic Photoshop design skills.
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS. (BIG BONUS!)
  • Ability to analyze performance data and marketplace research and create actionable next steps.
  • Bold/Confident -- Must be able to pick up a phone and call prospective publishers/account executives.
  • Creative Self-Starter: Enjoying the creative process and experience developing ideas for ad design and copy.
  • Ability to perform in a fast paced environment.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively with management and peers.
  • Exceptional work ethic and high sense of urgency.
  • Driven and self-motivated.
  • Demonstrates initiative/"hunger" and passion for digital marketing.
  • Excited to learn new things and work on the cutting edge of web-based advertising.
  • Excellent relationship building, communication and negotiation skills a must.
  • Possess a pro-active entrepreneurial spirit.
