Sales Development Representative

Estated (formerly Data Nerds) is disrupting the US property data market with our magical wizardry. Estated provides an in-depth analysis of 135+ million US residential homes through sophisticated, accessible, accurate and affordable property data solutions.

We’re on the hunt for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) with 1-2 years of proven experience and success in an inside sales or SDR role. The SDR will use his/her experience and strong sales acumen to prospect inbound/outbound sales leads and convert qualified leads into opportunities. This is a full time position based in our downtown Kelowna office.

Job Overview:

  • Engage with inbound sales leads via phone, email and chat (approx. 75%)
  • Make proactive phone calls to outbound sales leads (approx. 25%)
  • Understand key target market segments
  • Develop SDR contact cadence and test results
  • Describe to prospects how Estated data will benefit their businesses
  • Answer prospect’s questions and help with product registration
  • Use strong sales acumen to effectively convert negatives to positives
  • Convert qualified leads into opportunities
  • Close small/medium opportunities
  • Qualify and progress large opportunities to the designated sales rep
  • Work with in-house Software Engineers to answer technical questions
  • Work closely with sales & marketing team
  • Use CRM (HubSpot) & Google Docs for reporting & sharing
  • Learn about our market and share insights to improve the product and sales process


  • 1-2 years proven experience & success in an inside sales or SDR role
  • Understands SDR methodology, role and can develop outbound program with limited oversight
  • Able to partition time to handle inbound opportunities while developing outbound program
  • Strong sales & customer service acumen
  • Comfortable making phone calls to prospects and sales leads
  • Optimistic, persistent & ability to learn quickly
  • Thorough & strong organizational skills
  • Self motivated with a passion for working in a startup environment

Bonus Points:

  • Knowledgeable in data and/or database sales
  • Experience using HubSpot
  • Knowledge & understanding of real estate industry
  • Diploma in related field and/or relevant sales training
